I run on some paved roads but, mostly dirt roads and two tracks. 90% of my routes are hills, a lot of rocks and debris . I bought a pair of these Xodus' yesterday and ran in them today! They felt great! I know minimalist would disagree, but all those rocks Hurt!! after last summer, wearing my Five finger shoes, my feet have pain, that has never healed. My feet feel Great and I had a great run today!!!

I Run: For fun, To stay in shape
I Use This Product For: Running
I bought a previous model of the Xodus, and had to return it because it was so stiff and bulky, but I loved the traction, cushioning, and shoe bed. So I was very excited to receive this model because, right away, it was comfortable and seemed to mold better to my foot, rather than feeling like I'm wearing two army tanks.
I run mostly on rugged trails, with areas of slick rock, and I found the traction to be very good. And they were quite comfortable, if a little bit too roomy in the toe box (my forefoot kept trying to slide around). BUT.....I didn't realize it was a 4 mm drop, and noticed after a couple of miles that my hips and calves were aching. So I'm not sure how much I'll wear these as trail runners; I might just use them as lightweight hikers and keep looking for a trail runner that works for me. Not everyone likes the trend toward minimalist or low drop shoes!
