I've run in the Mirage 1 & 2. They we're okay. The Mirage 2 tore after 150 miles. Then, I purchased the Mirage 3 & my feet could not be happier! Please do not change this shoe. I love it!

I absolutely love this shoe. The style and color combination are great. I got a lot of compliments the first time I wore the shoes. Very lightweight and comfortable. Great for running. Also, my feet stayed dry after severals hours of wear.

The Mirage 3 is amazing! I still have the original Mirage which has held up great for a while (until a mud run). The 3 is more lightweight and slimmer compared to the Mirage. I did not like the Mirage 2. I would def recommend the 3rd.

I, too, loved the first Progrid Mirage. Didn't see right away on the Mirage 3 that the extra stitched detailing is gone from the toebox to the heel. They're now simply decals glued on. Not sure if extra material was removed for weight reduction, and/or cost savings in production. Hoped I wouldn't feel a difference, that it might only be aesthetic, however, I do feel less support, like the difference between wearing a mitten and a glove. I'll take the glove. With the 10+ pairs of Mirages I've owned, (wear them 99% of the time), my feet are happy immediately, but they're hurting with the 3. They just don't feel right. Disappointed. I hope the old style returns - and with better color choices, perhaps less garish.. dark and neutral, mmm.. that would be nice.

I started in the original Mirages, loved them. When the Second version came out, it was not the same shoe. I was ready to go to a totally different shoe, but my shoe guy convinced me to "just try on the 3s" What a great update.
The shoe is light and fits well for me. I have very narrow feet and with the lacing, etc, the regular width works perfectly for me. The sole is flexible, but not Too flexible. The sole feels really responsive to me. The upper is also nicely flexible and feels like it moves with and protects my foot, rather than trapping my foot in the shoe. Overall, I LOVE the new Mirage Three! If you were disappointed in the Two, i suggest you give the Three another look, a VAST improvement. Colors are nice too- well except for that nutty Barbie Pink.
