I've been wearing Saucony's for years. This shoe has great support both on a treadmill and outside on pavement. I have weak ankles and this shoes provides the support I need so my ankles don't give out while I'm running. I usually wear a 5 1/2 and I got a 6 based on other reviews. It fits perfect so go one half size up when ordering.

Walkers like me with wide, large feet cannot order the nice darker, gray colors (hides dirt from gravel roads) in the Women's Guide 6. Although I like the shoe, I would order additional pairs if you would offer the darker colors in a 10-1/2 D.

I started walking to train for 5K's and to do a mini. I was having problems with my feet, toes going numb, shin splints, blisters and I got a corn. I went to a Blue Mile shoe store where they tested my feet and had me try on and walk around in multiple shoes. They have you walk outside a few small laps. These shoes felt the best. Had the shoes for about 6 weeks and no more pain, blisters or corns! Loved the shoes so much I bought another pair in different colors! Hoping for more colors cause I won't wear anything else now. :D

I always try to change running shoes to be up with technology and am dissapointed. Not ever with Saucony. I need wide and this wide is true to it's name. Wide is hard to find and am grateful it is always there for me. Comfort at it's best for long or short runs or just daily walking. It accomodates my orthotic the best.

Good updates, better than Guide 5

I've been running in the Guides since the Guide 3 model (which is still my all time favorite shoe). The Guide 5 was disappointing, as I found it to run very big/wide. I was happy to return to running in the Guides when I discovered that the Guide 6 fits much better. Saucony has made some really excellent updates to this shoe; including awesome color choices. I have gotten so many compliments at races wearing these shoes!
I do have to note that on my long runs I tend to find that my pinky toes are crammed against the side of the shoe. I do not have a wide foot, so the width of the shoe is not the problem. I also have a good thumbnail length between my big toe and the front of the shoe--so I know that sizing is not the issue. It seems as though the height of the toe box is more of the problem for me. I've tried wearing thicker running socks to avoid blistering on my smaller toes, but then feel a sense of tightness due to the narrow height of the lateral side the toe box. This minor issue has not stopped me from running in them, but I do recognize this as a discomfort. I still love the Guides, and even with this little issue, they are still the best running shoe I have found to provide the perfect blend of stability and cushioning. Hoping that the next release will leave a little more room at the very top of the toe box for the smaller toes.

I found these shoes stylish and comfortable, at first, but within 3 months, the ankle/heel cushioning in the left shoe has shifted and is causing blisters. I walk/run about 4 miles a day, 4 days a week on a treadmill. Less expensive shoes usually last me a year. Three months is very disappointing for $100 shoes.

LOVE these shoes!! I ran two marathons this past weekend - one Saturday and one Sunday - and had no problems with my feet at all. I normally wear a 7.5, but got a size 8 since my long runs can exceed 5 hours and your feet swell. Since going up a half size I've had no blister problems. I'm going to order a couple more pairs since I don't want any other shoe now. I'll be wearing them for a 50-mile run in a couple weeks.

The Most Comfortable Shoes Ever

I stand almost 8 hours a night and this is the first pair of shoes I have worn to work and my feet are not killing me at the end of the shift. I have tried many other brands and all have let me down. These shoes are comfortable, supportive and cushioned all around the foot. I use them for work, play, and everyday wear. Thanks for a great shoe. Fan for life. I recommend them to everyone

I always wore Sauconys in size 6. I used to wear Rides but I found them to be too cushiony nowadays so Im in the Guides instead. I am a true 6 in every shoe Ive ever owned. In my opinion, it was the Guide 5 (the last version) that was sized too big. The 6 was too big so I bought a 5.5 but its too small. I couldn't wear either size. But I like the feel of the support and comfort and footbed of the Guide 5s. Im going to try on the new Guide 6 now to see if the sizes have gone back to normal. I should be a perfect 6. But I don't know if Ill like the shoe for comfort as I liked the Guide 5s they were just sized wrong, in my opinion.

My prévios salcony guide 4 Size was 71/2 then I bought guide 6 same size and it is hurting my feet and affecting my performance. Never by again by Internet if they are not true to the size. I would recommend only if bought in store and try the size first.

This sneaker is way comfy and fits good. I did have to go up 1/2 a size but that is ok as i go by fit not size. I have grown to love the hot pink color.

I have worn Saucony running shoes for YEARS. Why not have a more neutral color to choose from for those of us who do not want to wear neon bright shoes?

I've been running in the guide for years and was excited to order the newest version. However, I was very disappointed when the shoe arrived as it is shorter than the previous version. I even compared the new version to the old version and it is quite a bit shorter. I tried a size bigger but the fit was still off. I ended up returning the shoe and am still in search of a new sneaker.

This shoe has helped relieve my ankle/foot discomfort while running. Also, I was having a problem with my right calf and the shoe provides enough support that I am not putting as much stress on my leg.

I can run again!

I went in to my local running shoe store and they gave me a running assessment. I wound up with these. After trying several different brands and running the parking lot quite a bit, this one just felt right. I love these because I get the mild stability control that I need and the cushion, but they're lightweight. I took them for a 3 mile when I got home and I was pain free in my ankles, shins, and knees -- first time in a long time. Note: I have high arches and a heel strike, but my left foot has some motion going on that required the mild stability control. This is my first pair of Saucony shoes and I'm definitely willing to come back to them when these bite the dust. I have the pink/green combo. I think they look great, but the color of a shoe doesn't really mean much to me. That's what they brought out to me, so that's what I bought! Also a note to people just starting out: I was told that because of my high arches, I actually needed a shoe a 1/2 size BIGGER than what I measure at to give my foot somewhere to go in the shoe... so even though I'm an 8.5, I bought a 9. Nobody has EVER told me that before -- no wonder I was in so much pain! THANKS, Saucony, for a fantastic running shoe!! Looking forward to a few 5Ks with these this year! I didn't rate their durability because they're so new for me, but so far so good!

Comfortable shoes, fits well, light weight, good for exercise

PostedFebruary 15, 2013

This very comfortable shoe is noted for 'training'. My use has been primarily exercise. The shoe is attractive & light weight, It fits well and the shoe laces stayed tied. I am able to balance better, maybe due to their being new, but also because of good support for my feet. I marked good for durability because I have had them only one month.

This is the 2nd pair of Saucony I have ever worn and I had the same problem with both of them... While they are cushy and seem true to size the HEEL of the shoe rubs just a particular way and it gives me blisters. I don't know what it is about the design of this brand but it seems to be the only brand that gives me blisters.
I gave them an average rating because I would have really liked them except for the blisters.

My Guides are back!

I'd been running in various iterations of the Guide shoe for years. This Christmas, I was given 2 pairs of Guide 5s (the Guide model I had been running in was discontinued). As soon as I began running in the 5s I had pain in BOTH ankles. I contacted the company through their Facebook page, and they arranged for the shoes to be replaced with the Guide 6. From the first day I started running in them, I was again pain free. I don't know what they did with the 5s, but it seems to be all fixed in the Guide 6.

I ordered this shoe and only ran in them once but I noticed how well they performed. Unfortunately I do not need stability shoes so I did send them back. I will buy another pair of Saucony's in the future, except I'll purchase the ones for neutral runners.
