Great all-around shoe

I switched from the Asics Gel Nimbus to this shoe after dealing with some plantar fascitis issues with my Asics. I like that these shows have a heel drop that is between the 11mm Asics and some of the lower drop minimalist shoes. I feel like these shoes have helped me become a better runner by focusing on proper form instead of falling into bad habits with overly cushioned shoes. I go one size larger than my normal shoes size and like that these have a nice roomy toe box. A bonus for me is that they shoes also look good!

Love the Triumph 10

I've been wearing the Triumph for years. The 9s were a disappointment and always chafed my toes and heels (going a size up just made them too loose). The roomier toe box, less-constricting ankle and lighter weight are all great! My only complaint is I don't really love the color choices.

I am beginner runner and a friend recommended the Saucony's and they are by far the best shoes I have ever owned. I would most definitely recommend these shoes.

I underpronate and have difficulty finding the right shoe. My first run in this shoe was a dream. It has just the right support but isn't too rigid. I also appreciate the shorter, flat laces. Finally, I can't say enough about how great the shoes look!

This product could be awesome

I was super excited after I tried this style of Saucony. This was the first pair of Sauconys I have ever owned. The midsole was super cushioned and helped me run smoothly on pavement. I felt a lot less shock in my legs and really hoped this would be my new favorite running shoe. After 3 weeks of running 13 miles/week the stitching around the "sauc fit" feature on the left shoe came completely out. When it first started to come undone I tied the shoe tighter but could feel the lack of support around my ankle and ended up hurting myself. Now I can't wear the shoe at all. Its a real shame considering the grid feature on the bottom of the shoe is one of the best I've seen.

So sad to have to leave Saucony

I have been wearing Saucony Truimphs since version 5 (about 8 years). The last pair that worked was the Triumph 8. I have high arches, supinate and I hit hard with my heel, so the 9 was "ehh" and 10 just didn't work for me. The color styling of the 10 was great and I get complements on the look, but after exactly 77 miles on this Triumph 10 my knees are hurting and my feet are sore. #Tread is also almost gone.# I can usually get about 250 miles out of a shoe, but not this one. I don't understand why you would change the shoe so much. Why not just come out with a new model? Keep the high offset for those who need it - I can't change my way of running after 30 years!

Fit Perfectly

I'm a newer runner, so take my review with a grain of salt...
I needed a new pair of running shoes for regular, easy 3-4 miles runs one mixed pavement and trails. The Triumph felt perfect from the first moment I put it on. I have narrow heals compared to the ball of my foot, and found the shoe really keeps my heel in place while giving my toes breathing room.
Also, they are quite light compared to my older shoes! It was a great surprise on my first outing with them!
Very much enjoying these shoes. I think they are great for a beginning neutral runner.

I love love love my Triumph 9s. Unfortunately, they have too many miles on them and I needed another pair. I naturally ordered the 10's online in my normal size. These shoes are such a dissapointment! They run about a half size bigger then the Triumph 9s. The toe box seems a bit smaller and the heels slip like crazy. The heel doesn't cover the back of my foot like my 9s. Poor design, poor fit. I will need to switch brands for a while, but I will be back for the Triumph 11s!!!

Great overall sneaker

I bought this sneaker after seeing it in Fitness Magazine as rated a top sneaker for gym classes. I am very happy with it. The fit is great - very comfortable. Sturdy enough for high impact yet light enough to continue to wear all day. I do not use this sneaker for running, but everything else. Would definitely recommend it

I switched to these from Asics in hopes of finding shoes with a better toe box fit. I LOVE the colors and found them to be comfortable. I did have to tighten the laces to prevent sliding (but then had to loosen to prevent blisters).
Unfortunately, immediately after starting to wear these shoes I developed soleus pain, something I never had in my Asics. The last time I had a running assessment, I was told I have a normal step, so all I can figure is the heel on the Triumph is lower than I'm used to.
Needless to say, I will be going back to my Asics and wearing these occasionally on shorter runs only.

I've worn Saucony for about 20 years now...This is my second pair of Triumph 10's & there was a size difference between the Blue & white & Grey & Pink

I go through 4 pairs of shoes a year and have found the Triumph to be durable and comfortable for me (I speed walk and run).....I generally buy my Saucony's at Athlete's Foot (so I can make sure the size is correct) but I ordered on-line direct from Saucony because I wanted a different color combo of the Triumph 10 than was offered at the store.....I was disappointed because there was a size difference (Blue & white color combo was slightly larger than the Grey & Pink)....I find that to be frustrating because they are exactly the same model and there should not be a difference in size.....

Bring back the normal width of the Triumph 9

PostedApril 9, 2013

I bought the Triumph 10 in the hopes that these would be my shoes for the Marine Corps marathon. I bought two pair to train and run in.
If you have narrow feet and are a neutral runner you will love these shoes. The medium width runs narrow so someone like me with normal width found these too snug to run in. I love the cushion and the ligtness of the Triumph 10 so I bought a pair of the wide widths as well as the medium. Unfortunately, neither of them are a good fit. The wide are too wide so I swim in them, the medium are just too narrrow.
The triumphs are a fabulous shoe. I loved the 9 and was hoping the 10 would be even better. They would be if not for the fit. Please bring back the normal width so us lovers of the Triumph can wear the shoes.

I am a big fan of saucony but so very disappointed. Like previous review, my ankle too rolls when running long distance. I loved the ride 4 and so wish I had stocked up . Have only had shoe for a couple of weeks and now looking for a new shoe and for first time might look at another brand. Please bring back ride 4!!!

I too wish I stocked up on Ride 4. I am disappointed I can't find any online or even ebay! Now I run in to the dilemma of what style to replace my ride 4's? From the comments I can't say I am thrilled with what is being said about the Triumph.

I really like this running shoe! I recently switched from trails to running on the road to prepare for races. I like the light weight feel, the extra cushioning and the smooth ride! I like the wide toe box but my heels stay secure. They feel like they were made for my feet. I'm going to buy a second pair as my race shoes! I love the orange!

This is OK, but bring back the Ride 4

I swear by Sauconys, and I have preferred them all my running life, so I do like this shoe. I especially LOVE the tangerine-orange-and-lime combo--too many women's shoes are such boring colors, especially pink, pale blue, or purple, so I've been happy to see Sauconys in more of a rainbow of hot colors.
I had been wearing the Ride 4 very happily. When the new Ride 5 turned out to have a narrow toe-box, I switched to this one to give it a try. I wear a 1/2 size smaller in this than in other Saucony shoes, due to the placement of the inner footbed/molding. There is some heel slippage, as others have written, but it is manageable, and the heel is keeping my plantar fasciitis at bay. However, the shoe feels narrow in the toes and the ball of the foot. I've been experiencing cramping in my forefoot and arch, and now I'm wishing I'd stocked up on Ride 4s when they could still be found in stores and online.
Based on what I am reading about the new Ride 5, there continues to be a market for the Ride 4's features, especially the roomy forefoot. In the meantime, the Triumph is all right, but I am already on the market for something that won't squeeze the bunions.

Very Disappointed

I have been wearing the Saucony Triumph since the version 4 came out. The new changes have ruined my all time favorite shoe. The heel is extremely uncomfortable, it sits to low at the ankle and the shoe slips, which is not practical when running 10 miles a day. My feet do not feel secure in the shoe. The previous versions of the Triumph fit perfectly and prevented me from rolling my ankles. The current version causes me to roll my ankles constantly. The material around the ankle has come apart. It does still provide the right amount of cushion. Please change it back!!!

I use this shoe for long and recovery runs. The cushioning is great and I've had no pain after running in these shoes. The shoes are light for being so cushioned. The fit feels great in the forefoot, but I have some trouble with heel slippage. I remedied this with lacing.
