What a nice shoe is this!! 12 years i did not run, since dec 2012 i run again I now have run 300 miles in them and they still look like new. My first 1/2 marathon in new Mirage 2 ends in 1:43.
They give me great confidence because of the lots of grip and support they offer (i run a lot on technical mountainbike courses and my weight is 200 pound).
I have also run them in snow for 2 months and never felt insecure because of the grip en keep my feet warm. The shoe drop 4 mm is perfect and i have learned to run more naturel.
The upper of the shoe is of good quality, strong materials and gives a secure feeling to my feet because its fits fine and protects well.
I have read a lot about other good shoes on trail and i have my doubts about it. My next shoe will be a xodus 3.0 again!

I'm not breaking any new ground with this review, but I was impressed enough with the shoe to write about it anyway.
Stability is amazing, protection on rough surface is fantastic, and cushioning is almost great (i'm just being picky here#.
overall, for the money and regardless of money, this is THE best trail shoe I've ever worn #beats New Balance, Adidas, Merrill and Nike).

I've been using this shoes for about 2 months now and I can say that this is one of the most stable comfortable shoes I've used in years. Very stable, stylish and supportive. I'll be doing my 7th Ironman this June and will definitely use this for extra support after a hard bike ride.

I run with stability shoes, but like a trail neutral shoe for stair racing. I like the way this shoe fits and the offset seems to work well on the stairs for me.
It is also a very comfortable walking shoe.

This is my first pair of trail shoes. I have been a runner for years but never ran trails. I was recently fit for the Omni 11 which literally saved my "running life". I've had many running injuries the last several years , but the Omni 11 cured them.
I decided to go with Saucony again, since I new the fit would be right. The Xodus fits perfectly and is very comfortable.I ran on a snowy trail for my first run and the traction was excellent. I never slipped or lost footing.
The best part is my feet stayed dry and warm in about 4 inches of snow. I can't wait to try them out in the mud!!!!

This is my second pair of Xodus 3.0's. I run on sandy, rocky Arizona desert trails and these shoes work great. The Vibram tread holds up well and is very durable in harsh conditions. The upper will wear out before the lower will. The lace garage is great for keeping your shoelaces hidden as well as giving you a cleaner look.

I've only worn it for a week, but the Xodus 3.0 is one of the best fitting shoes I own. I've already done 10 miles on a rough gravel trail and really love the Vibram sole with the built-in rock plate.

Picked up a pair of these for slushy running - fit comfortably even with thick winter running socks, still true to size. (Fit well with regular socks too). Good support, excellent stable feel, never felt like I was out of control on the slick stuff.

I bought the GTX version of this shoe for the same reason. Of course, it's turned out to be a very mild winter so far so I haven't had a chance to test them in the snow, but I've taken them out on a couple of test runs during the rain. My only caution is that they can be slippery on wet metallic surfaces (e.g. man hole covers).

I have just began running and was scheduled to run in a 5K race. I found out it was going to be a CC event and I didn't want to get my road shoes (Saucony Pro Guide 5) muddy. Weatherman was predicting rain so I decided to buy what Saucony recommended for me. It was the Xodus 3.0 and they felt great right out of the box to the race!!

Grand Canyon Trailblazer

I ordered the Xodus specifically for my one day Rim to Rim hike of the Grand Canyon (South to North). I was thinking that lighter shoes would have definite advantages over clunky hiking boots. The shoes were comfortable from day one and they held up very well throughout training. On the trail, they were very stable and traction was remarkable. My feet felt great after the full day on the trail. My only complaints are that your feet can feel cold (when temps dip below freezing) in the toes due to the mesh, and the soles are beginning to show some wear. Aside from that, I'd buy these guys again. They were key in my success at the Canyon!

The grip on these shoes is insane. I used the previous incarnation of the Xodus and the difference is night and day. The new model is lighter, grippier and more stable. The only way in which it comes up short compared to last year's model is on wet surfaces. All of those grippy little knobs are a little sketchy on wet rock or wet tarmac. Also the knobs tend to wear pretty quickly. I can't believe the speed at which i can descend hills with these shoes. Wet grass....no problem. Twisted ankles....unlikely. Get 2 pairs!

I bought this shoe this spring and have been doing very rocky and difficult trail running along the Niagara Escarpment. Very happy with it. I will buy this shoe again. I am training for an 8hr adventure race so I put in 10-20km runs each week along with shorter 5k, hills and other workouts.

I write from Catalunya. I just purchased the Xodus 3.0, and I started doing a workout for 15km through forest tracks. The Xodus 3.0 are sensational: cushioning, stability, breathability, comfort, grip. Just perfect.
I am a user of the Saucony Progrid Omni (8,9,10) for my shooting on asphalt. I used Salomon for my shoots in forest and mountain tracks, but with the Xodus I've found the perfect solution.

Comfortable in the store right out of the box. Put them on at home to walk around the house a bit and felt the heels slip but not an issue when running. Ran two sixes on technical trails and noticed that the collar around my ankles dug in, so I decided not to use the top eyelet (I do this with ice skates also.) and now the shoes feel great. Have run two 9-milers on the same trails and I'm just cruising. I just wish they were a little grippier in wet weather. The aggressive tread is very good on rocky hills, but when it's raining, they tend to slip when I make a leap and and land on a large rock, or running up or down hill on a smooth rock.

I bought this shoe to play grass 2's and 3's volleyball. I love the shoes! They always provide traction in the grass which is very slippery at time. The shoe has a nice low profile which provides you with stability even moving side to side and jumping. Beyond that the shoe performs well and has the perfect balance of lightweight, support and cushion... Believe me I do a ton of jumping in them and they are one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever played in... The soles are very durable vibram soles and still look like they day I bought them. I would highly recommend these shoes to anyone looking for a great trail shoe or a great outdoor/grass volleyball shoe!
