great shoe but loses support

I love these sneakers...but i buy a new pair way before i should have to. The old pair still look brand new but get loose and lose support. I really wish they would hold up longer.

Only shoe that make the arthritis in my ankle go away. A great shoe when combined with an insole like those made by Spenco (found at Big 5 sporting Goods stores)

I have always liked Saucony because they are generally lighter than most shoes and have the cushioned heel to ease my bone spur pain. I wish they would offer more selection in wides as i have a short fat foot and normally wear a size 7, 2E width. This shoe was love at first run!!! it actually fit my foot perfect and was soooo comfortable, it's everything i look for in a shoe. As long as Saucony keeps producing a product like this, i will always be a customer.

I have used the Excursion series shoes for several years now for trail running and long distance hiking. I retired my last pair in the Grand Canyon after the bottoms were too torn up to get any more traction. I ran/hiked injury free for nearly 1.5 years on those shoes and was sad to see them go. I replaced them with this newer model of the Excursion and I've lost absolutely nothing in the transition. In fact, the new Excursions have better traction and a roomier toe box. They perform well on rocky or slippery terrain. They are great for neutral runners with flexible ankles, but won't do much to correct pronation or prevent sprains if you're prone to such. The shoe is light and very durable for its weight. Great shoes if these characteristics are what you're looking for.

This is definitely the most comfortable pair of running shoes i have ever tried on. They're extremely tough and absorb more shock than I expected. I run 40-60 miles a week and at about 160 lbs they provide excellent support. I have slightly flat feet and over pronate a little bit, and they seem to have helped me quite a bit as a runner.

Shoe mesh Material tears from use

The shoe is comfortable and was a joy to run in. Put about 50 miles on my pair and the mesh started to pull apart. There was no puncture, no abrasion, just started tearing on both shoes where they flexed over the ball of the foot. I suspect poor quality of the material used. I would have assumed it would be more rugged since it was a trail show. All my street shoes have gone hundreds of miles with no issues. Very disappointed. I am going to send them to the Saucony Inspection and see what they think. I would not recommend these shoes to anyone that is actually trail running. Might be good walking shoes.

I run and walk on a cross country trial, hard dirt to sandy conditions, with small rocks. The shoes fit very comfortably straight out of the box. The shoes run about half size smaller so it's a good idea to try before you buy. I'm extremely happy with these shoes. Thinking of buying a second pair to alternate shoes every other day.

I have had 3 1/2 back surgeries and 2 neck surgeries and need at least 1 more of each, so comfort is a must have as far as shoes go.
These are by far the most comfortable shoe that i have ever tried and believe me i have tried many over the years! They do run 1/2 size small ( i usually wear an 8 1/2 but have to order a 9 in these. The widths are correct size). I have worn the Excursion models for about 4-5 years now and won't wear anything else.
You won't go wrong with these!!!!!

Tis is my second pair of Saucony shoes purchased after falling in love with my first pair. I was slightly disappointed as this pair did not fit as well as my first. The size 13 wide fit more like a 13 regular. Overall I am impressed with the quality of shoe I got for the price.

I have always tried to buy Grid Excursion. Have purchased tr3 thru tr6, never disappointed. Most comfortable shoe. I wear these 8 to 12 hours a day on hard concrete. Well built and stays comfortable. Hope they keep making them. Don,t change the style. Try these you won't be sorry. A solid black or white grid excursion would be nice for work.

I was excited to get my new pair of Men's Excursion TR6 (Gray and Blue version) because I got such a good deal (less than $35!). However, when they arrived, I was a little disappointed to see what I perceived to be a lack of quality. The rubber sole of the shoe looked to be the same "knockoff rubber" as my fake target bought "crocs". They are comfortable and fit true, but I worry about the durability of this low quality rubber sole. If what I see comes to pass, these shoes won't last very long against any rigorous activity. That is just my initial perception though. I leave the judgement to others on what they will think.

I've had the excursion tr 3,4,5 and now 6.
Only 80 miles on this pair, but so far so good. I usually get 500+ miles out of these shoes. They are comfortable right from the start. If you want comfort and durability at a reasonable price and don't mind a lot of shoe, then these are worth trying. They are also good on the trails though they seem a little narrower than some of the earlier models but also a bit lighter (I believe).

I have only had these for a few weeks and after reading the other reviews about the eyelets, I took it easy when pulling the laces tight. These shoes look great, are very comfortable, light and provide a lot of cushion when running.

Within 4 days out of the box, the metal grommets popped out of the top eyelets, then the cloth loop for the shoestring tore out making the shoe unwearable. As I have been a local Saucony customer for years, I assumed I simply had been unlucky and received a rare defective pair, so I ordered another pair. The new set lasted for only 2 days before the cloth loops that hold the shoestring ripped out.
