I have tried many trainers over the years, and these are the best by far. I have had achillies and plantar problems with other trainers, but not these. I will wrap this up by saying I have 4 pairs, and the other brands that I own(and that is many) will be donated.

My saucony k2 lights have 560 miles on them I've used them in grass trail road and on stone they got a rip in the outer layer at about 100 miles I was worried that they wouldn't last but they did I'm still running in them they feel fine. Next summer ill get them again.

I really like the Kinvara 2 for it's fit and performance. unfortunately I am not a fan of the bright colors in which the shoe comes in. My first pair of Kinvara 2's were black with a grey sole and I really enjoyed those. the pair I just purchased are white with black soles and orange bottoms, not my favorite combination but it's what is available in the shoe I like to run in. I bought 2 pair so that I can prolong the search for a replacement shoe with the fit, performance, and COLOR scheme that I like. I would really like it if Saucony offered more of the basic shoe colors again.

Cons: Wears reasonablly quickly
Pros: Everything else - extremely light, has mesh upper which allows extreme breathability (leading me to wear them just around town or when I know I will be in shoes for a long while), the 4mm drop creates allot of responsivness without the feeling of complete vulnerability to the road. At first and with infrequent use I experience some calf pain becasue of the small heel drop but i have found that with more regualar use, this soreness dissipates and actually leads to not only stronger calves but a more dynamic and complete use of my legs. My gait has tranistioned from heel strike to mid strike, which i find smoother and more effecienct (better for comfort and performance) Bottom line: the style and physical attributes of the shoe gives me a jump in my step without killing my wallet (very willing to pay for another pair after one wares out - on my third kinivara right now)

I fully adopted the Kinvara and can't run with anything else. The shell being so light, its durability is limited, but it's totally worth buying 2-3 pairs per year just for the comfort and ease to clean up.
Thanks to the foot level, I have no more knee pain and periostitis!

Run 4/week...between 35 and 55 miles/week. On my fifth set of K2's. Use them for training and racing. Excellent minimalist design...with enough support and cushion to protect the body. Generally 500/miles per set. Last set...650. Great shoe, great price. And, they look pretty cool too. No reason to look further. My running group agrees.

I love the Kinvara 2. The Kinvara is my daily trainer that I use for all of my running. It is minimal enough but not so minimal that I can't run on the dirt roads that I frequently run on. My only complaint is the upper rips for me 200 -300 miles into the shoe although it is still completly usable for 500-600. I love this shoe.

I really like the way these shoes feel and they are absolutely great for running. However, after about two weeks of moderate use, the thin mesh layer that covers the top of the shoe began to come apart/tear in various places - primarily near the outer sides of the toe area (see picture). If it wasn't for the fact that the shoes are not at all durable, I would rate them 5 stars for comfort and performance. In the next version, they should do away with that thin mesh substance.

This is the only shoe I will run in. I am on my fourth pair and absolutely love them. I do find that I go through them fairly quickly, but it is not unexpected with them being minimalist shoes. I will keep buying them as long as you make them. They are a great value.

The low heel to toe drop was nice, and I enjoyed the styling. However, the shoe was too narrow to truly be considered minimalist. It's sole was too thick for any true ground feel (proprioception). I know that this shoe is viewed as a transition shoe, but to me it still feels a lot like an overly cushioned trainer. The ankle collar was very tight around the achilles tendon, and really took away from the comfort of the shoe. The shoe was also quite stiff and inflexible, unlike many other minimalist/ transition shoes

Great running shoe. Lightest shoe I have ever worn. I'm not a small frame guy so I still want support in a running shoe. This shoe has both light weight and support. I now own 3 pair. Highly recommend this shoe.

I purchased my first pair six months ago to train for a triathalon. Since i have converted them into my everyday trainer for an ultra. From day one these were very comfortable with no hot spots noted with the first run. I will note that they do run narrow as my little toe went numb on longer runs and bike rides. After awhile they stretched and no more numbness. My wife has a pair as well and noted this same problem.
Excellent shoe for nuetral runners with a mid to forefoot strike. I would recommend them to anyone training or as a race day shoe. Especially the price on the Kinvara 2 now since they are on clearence. I have not ran in the 3rd version but thought it looked very similar. My only beef is that they do seem to wear faster than normal trainers as the sole only has rubber reinforcing at certain strike points. so if you strike slightly different they wear faster.
Overall great shoe for the discouted price, i own two pairs if that tells you anything.

Since I tore my achilles and suffered a stress fracture training for my first marathon I have been a fan of a more natural style of running. I have now run 3 marathons and 4 halves injury free. Along the way I have been looking for shoes to better suit my evolving technique. I have tried Newtons and FiveFingers and neither worked for me. Last year I tried Kinvara 2s and loved them so much I decided to run a marathon in them after very little mileage and now wouldn't run in anything else. I have a pair of Kinvara 3s but I much prefer the 2s and I am loading up with extra pairs so I can keep running in 2s for a long time.

I LOVE this shoe, almost as much as I love my girlfriend, well no I love her more but you get the idea! It fits me perfectly. I have a wide foot and the asics I had in the past just didn't fit me there correctly and had a weird heal tilt. A lot of my running related issues stopped when I started running in this shoe. I have one pair I am currently training for a marathon in and five other pairs for when these wear out. The shoe fits comfortably, is very light weight, works great as a trainer or racer, and when its running days are over as an everyday walking around town shoe. They shipped it out quickly. I couldn't be happier! BTW Cinderella I LOVE YOU!!

I broke a PR in theese in the 800 by 5 seconds I think that they wore out over my summer training but to be ecspected 50 mile weeks buy the kinvara 3
